Hydrogen concentration

5 min 3000 ppb
10 min 6000 ppb
2 × 10 min 8000+ ppb

Measured in-house by H2Blue reagent titration. Hydrogen leaves water quickly once the bottle is opened, so concentration falls from the moment you pour.

3. First use — activation

A one-time activation primes the PEM membrane so it reaches full output. Set aside an afternoon — most of it is waiting, and you only do this once.

Your bottle arrives damp, and that is intentional. The PEM membrane is cleaned and sealed with a small amount of water so it stays hydrated in transit. A membrane that has dried out cannot produce hydrogen until it rehydrates. Finding a little water inside is normal and expected — it is not a sign the bottle has been used.

  1. Charge it fully. Stand the bottle on the base and connect the USB-C cable. A battery icon appears on the screen; charge until it reads full — roughly three hours from flat.
  2. Rinse it. Fill with clean drinking water, swirl it, leave it to stand 15 minutes, then pour it away.
  3. Wake the screen. Tap it. A short boot animation plays and “Slide to unlock” appears.
  4. Unlock. Swipe right across the screen. The start interface appears with a triangle icon.
  5. Run a cycle. Tap the triangle for 5 minutes. Tapping again on the same screen switches to 10 minutes.
  6. Pour it away. The cycle ends with a prompt. Do not drink this one — it is for the membrane, not for you.
  7. Rinse twice with fresh water to clear anything the first cycle lifted off the plate.
  8. Repeat two or three more times. Fill, run a cycle, pour away. Output climbs with each run as the membrane wakes up.

Ready to drink. From here, every cycle produces water you can drink straight away.

Few bubbles on the first run? Fill the bottle with clean water and leave the membrane to soak for two hours before pressing start. A membrane that has dried out needs time to rehydrate, and it will come up to full output after that.

4. How it works

An SPE/PEM cell sits in the base. A proton exchange membrane splits water at platinum-coated titanium electrodes, so hydrogen forms on one side and the by-products on the other. The by-products vent out through the base instead of staying in the bottle. Nothing is added to the water and nothing is taken out of it.

5. The screen

Everything on the bottle is controlled from the touch screen on the base. There is no app and no phone pairing — the bottle works on its own.

Asleep Tap the screen to wake it.
Locked Swipe right to unlock. A short animation plays.
Start screen A triangle icon. Tap it to begin a cycle.
Running A countdown of the minutes and seconds remaining.
Finished A completion prompt tells you the cycle has ended.
Charging A battery icon, full when the charge is complete.
Settings A ring of icons — see the eight functions below.

The eight functions

  1. Hydrogen production — tap the triangle for 5 minutes, tap again for 10
  2. Stop production — swipe left to settings, tap the power icon
  3. Automatic cleaning — a 3-minute descaling cycle (section 7)
  4. Light settings — the ambient colour of the water window
  5. UV light — on / off
  6. Hydrogen completion prompt — the alert that sounds when a cycle finishes, on / off
  7. Sound — mutes the touch beeps
  8. Night mode — dims the display for bedside use

6. How to use

  1. Fill with water. Do not fill past the maximum line.
  2. Close the cap and stand the bottle upright.
  3. Tap the screen to wake it, then swipe right to unlock.
  4. Tap the triangle for a 5-minute cycle. On the production screen, tap once more to switch to 10 minutes.
  5. The screen counts down and prompts you when the cycle finishes.
  6. To stop early: swipe left to reach settings, then tap the power icon.
  7. Open the cap and drink.

Drink the water immediately after the cycle. Hydrogen leaves the water over time whether the cap is on or off.

Which water to use

Use mineral water, drinking water or bottled water, at room temperature. Do not use boiling water — it will damage the product.

Do not put any other liquid in the bottle. No saltwater, juice, soy milk, beer, tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, alcohol or milk. They will damage the cell, and damage caused this way is not covered by the warranty.

Ambient light colours

White Cyan Red Blue Green Purple Yellow

7. Automatic cleaning

Hard water leaves mineral scale on the electrode plate, and scale reduces hydrogen output.

  1. Unlock the screen to reach the start screen.
  2. Tap the gear icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Automatic Cleaning. A 3-minute cycle runs and the screen counts it down.
  4. Rinse the bottle twice with clean water afterwards and pour it away. Do not drink the cleaning water.

Once every 5–10 days is enough. In hard-water areas you can run it more often — it does not shorten the product's life.

Monthly deep clean

Fill with a 1 : 3 mix of white vinegar and water, run one 5-minute cycle, pour it out, then rinse two or three times with fresh water. This removes mineral buildup the normal cycle leaves behind and restores output.

8. Charging

Stand the bottle on the charging base and connect the base to a USB power source. A full charge gives up to 200 minutes of hydrogen production. Charge at room temperature.

9. Care and storage

  • Hand wash only. Do not put any part in a dishwasher.
  • Do not immerse the base in water.
  • IPX4 means the bottle resists splashing from any direction. It is not waterproof — do not submerge it.
  • If you will not use the bottle for a long time, leave a little water inside and keep the cap closed. The membrane must stay damp. Storing it bone dry will damage the cell.
  • Coming back after a long break: fill with clean water, let it stand a couple of hours, then run the automatic cleaning cycle and one normal cycle before you drink.
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat.

10. Warnings

  • Contains a lithium-ion battery. Do not crush, puncture, incinerate or expose to heat.
  • Dispose of according to local regulations. Do not put the bottle in household waste.
  • Do not use boiling water.
  • Avoid strong impact and do not drop the product.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Do not look directly at the UV-C lamp while it is on.
  • Do not drink the water if it looks, smells or tastes wrong.
  • Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair the bottle. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Stop using the bottle if the bottle, cable or charging base is damaged.
  • This product is not a substitute for medication.

11. Troubleshooting

Fewer bubbles than usual Mineral scale on the electrode plate Run the automatic cleaning cycle, then the monthly vinegar clean.
Cycle stops part-way Movement, or the charge dropped too low Stand the bottle on a flat surface, charge it, run the cycle again.
Weak output after storage The membrane dried out Fill with clean water, leave it two hours, then run two or three short cycles.
Short run time Battery capacity reduces with age Charge fully. If it is still short inside the warranty period, contact us.
Screen does not respond It locks itself between uses, or the charge is flat Tap to wake, then swipe right. If nothing happens, charge for 30 minutes and retry.
Sour or odd taste Cleaning solution left in the bottle Rinse two or three times with fresh water, run one cycle and discard it.
Metallic taste Possible fault Stop using it and contact us.

12. Common questions

How often can I drink it?

As often as you like. It is water — the bottle adds dissolved hydrogen gas and nothing else. Nothing is added to the water and nothing is removed.

How soon should I drink it?

Straight after the cycle. Hydrogen is the smallest molecule there is and it escapes steadily, whether the cap is on or off. The first few minutes hold most of what the cycle produced.

Can I chill it?

Yes, but run the cycle first and add ice after. Cold water holds hydrogen slightly longer, but refrigerating it for hours will still lose most of it.

Why pour the first cycles away?

The membrane needs a few wet cycles to reach full output, and those runs also flush anything left from manufacturing. Section 3 covers it.

Do I need filters or cartridges?

No. There is nothing to replace and nothing to reorder. The electrode plate is cleaned by the self-clean cycle rather than swapped out.

Is there an app?

No. Everything runs from the touch screen on the base. There is nothing to pair and nothing to install.
