Two things to know before you buy

1. It's semi-in-ear, and it has no noise cancelling. The buds rest at the entrance of your ear rather than sealing inside it — no silicone tips, nothing pushed into the canal. That's deliberate, and it suits a lot of people: comfortable for hours, no plugged-up feeling, and you stay aware of traffic, announcements and whoever is talking to you.

But be clear on what it means. No seal means no passive isolation and no ANC. The Air6 HS has ENC (N-Reduce 2.0), which is a different thing: it cleans up your voice so the person on the other end of a call hears you and not the wind. It does nothing to quiet the world for you. If you want silence on a plane or in an open-plan office, this is the wrong pair, and we'd rather say so now.

2. LDAC is an Android codec. On Android you get Hi-Res streaming at up to 990kbps. On an iPhone you won't — iOS has no LDAC support, so the buds fall back to AAC. They still sound very good on AAC, but you'd be paying for capability your phone can't use.

Battery — the honest breakdown

45 hours total with the case, and a 10-minute charge gives 3 hours. But single-charge playtime depends entirely on which codec you're using, and most listings quote only the best number:

The trade-off worth knowing: LDAC costs you roughly four hours per charge. Turn it on when you're sitting down with good recordings; drop to AAC for a long day out.
