Two things to know before you buy

1. Open-ear means no isolation and no noise cancelling. Nothing seals your ear canal. That is the whole point of the design — you stay aware of traffic, announcements and anyone talking to you, and you can wear them for hours without the plugged-up feeling. But be clear on what it costs you. No seal means no passive isolation and no ANC. The GoFree2+ has ENC on its four microphones, which is a different thing: it cleans up your voice so the person on the other end of a call hears you and not the wind. It does nothing to quiet the world for you. Open designs also leak some sound outward at high volume, and without a seal the bass is lighter than a sealed in-ear pair. If you want silence on a plane or in an open-plan office, this is the wrong pair, and we'd rather say so now. Our Air5 Pro has adaptive ANC if quiet is what you're after.

2. LDAC is an Android codec. On Android you get Hi-Res streaming. On an iPhone you won't — iOS has no LDAC support, so the buds fall back to AAC. They still sound good on AAC, but you'd be paying for capability your phone can't use.

30 hours total with the charging case, and 8 hours from a single charge. Expect less than 8 if you run LDAC or listen loud — high-resolution codecs and high volume both draw more power.
